Friedrich Thyssen, a former steel company owner,
invests in the steel company of his son August
in order to keep the number of shareholders small .

After some years as a limited partner of the Thyssen-Fossoul company, August Thyssen starts up the Thyssen company. His brother Joseph joins the company, so that they can sharethe management.

 

Before the start-up of the company, August Thyssen founds a health insurance. Then he creates a factory order, which describes the working conditions.

Here the Thyssen brothers August und Joseph, Franz Wilke
and Albert Killing manage the group.

 

After the divorce from his wife Hedwig, August Thyssen has to find a way to keep the Thyssen group together.

The Thyssen company accumulates capital for a pension fund
in order to attract qualified personnel. To improve the social
conditions for their staff, the Thyssen group build flats for
their workers and open a company bank.

Fritz Thyssen takes the company over and his nightmare begins...

After the August Thyssen group had been closed after the war,
it started again in 1953.

In 1969 the cooperation with Mannesmann started.

After the rapid growth of the concern the take over of
Rheinstahl and its renaming into Thyssen Hütte AG
